The Sussex Distillers Festival (SDF) – Terms & Conditions

Definitions

  • “Festival” means The Sussex Distillers Festival to be held at Platf9rm, Hove (the Venue).
  • “Organiser/We/Us” means The Sussex Distillers Festival team, operated by Devil’s Dyke Gin Ltd (Company No. 13852713) and DedBest Distillery UK LTD (Company No. 13420485)
  • “You/Your” means the ticket holder attending the Festival.
  • “Ticket” means any ticket or wristband giving entry to the Festival.
  • “Terms” means these Terms & Conditions.
  1. Tickets & Entry

1.1 Tickets are sold exclusively via our official channel (DesignMyNight or any other platform we approve). Tickets bought elsewhere may be invalid and entry refused.
1.2 Tickets are revocable licences, remain our property, and acceptance of these Terms is a condition of entry.
1.3 Please check your Ticket carefully upon purchase; errors may not always be rectified.
1.4 You must retain your ticket or wristband throughout the festival. Duplicates will not be issued.
1.5 Admission is strictly 18+. We operate a Challenge 25 policy: if you look under 25, you must provide valid photo ID to purchase alcohol or gain entry.

  1. Refunds & Changes

2.1 Tickets are non-refundable except where the festival is cancelled or materially changed.
2.2 A “material change” means a change which, in our opinion, makes the festival substantially different to what ticket holders could reasonably expect. Changes to participating distillers or exhibitors do not qualify as material changes.
2.3 If the Festival is rescheduled, tickets remain valid for the new date. Refunds must be claimed before the original date.
2.4 Refunds (face value plus booking fee, excluding transaction charges) will be processed within 60 days of a cancellation announcement.
2.5 Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation, and subsistence are at your own risk.

  1. Behaviour & Safety

3.1 We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject you if, in our reasonable opinion, you:

  • Are under 18 or unable to provide valid ID.
  • Are intoxicated, behaving disorderly, or under the influence of drugs.
  • Use threatening, abusive, or offensive language/behaviour.
  • Fail to comply with these Terms, venue rules, or steward instructions.
    3.2 No refunds will be given if you are refused entry or ejected due to your own behaviour.
    3.3 For health and safety, security searches may be conducted. Refusal to comply may result in denial of entry.
    3.4 Prohibited items include (but are not limited to): outside alcohol, illegal substances, fireworks, glass, weapons, smoke bombs, nitrous oxide, and animals (except assistance dogs).
  1. Alcohol & Food

4.1 Only alcohol purchased from festival bars may be consumed on site.
4.2 You may not bring alcohol into or take alcohol out of the festival, except sealed bottles purchased from exhibitors.
4.3 Only food and drink purchased on-site may be consumed (except water).
4.4 Drinks will be served in cans, plastic, or polycarbonate containers. No glass will be provided.

  1. Liability

5.1 Attendance at the Festival is at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to you or your property unless caused by our negligence.
5.2 We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  1. Filming & Photography

6.1 By attending the SDF, you consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded for promotional purposes. Please let a member of staff know on arrival if you prefer t opt out.
6.2 Personal photography and filming are permitted for private use only. Commercial use requires our written consent.

  1. Accessibility

7.1 Please contact us in advance (cheers@sussexdistillers.co.uk) with any accessibility needs. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee all requests without advance notice.

  1. Complaints

8.1 If you have a complaint during the SDF, please raise it with a on-site staff immediately. Complaints are difficult to address after the event.
